Jerop Limo

 Jerop Limo is a youth and sexual and reproductive health rights activist who has become one of the country’s most influential young leaders.  

Diagnosed at 13, Limo has dedicated her life to eradicating the stigma and discrimination faced by young people living with HIV in Africa. 

As the Executive Director of the Ambassador for Youth and Adolescent Reproductive Health Programme (AYARHEP), Limo spearheads initiatives that empower young people to lead the HIV response and advocate for inclusive policies. 

In September 2025, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation honoured Limo as a 2025 Goalkeepers Champion at their annual event in New York.  

She was one of ten global advocates recognised for their exceptional work in advancing child health and vaccine equity, a testament to her unwavering commitment to a healthier, stigma-free generation. 

Limo also spoke to world leaders during the UN General Assembly and Summit of the Future, calling for partnership with young people to shape better health solutions for future generations.
